Portable Lego Table For Travel

Legos are perfect for keeping a child busy. My kids can play for hours with Legos building trucks, cars and buildings. A portable Lego table is perfect to bring on a trip. They can be used in the car, on a plane or just so they have something to do at the hotel.

Portable Travel Lego tables are awesome because you just pour you logos in the center of it then pull on the drawstring to enclose it. While they work best if you have them laying a hard surface a small one does well on a lap too. If wanting to use in a car you may put it on top of a wide kids book or maybe lap desk you may have around for a laptop.

I was very happy with the Lay-n-Go, the travel mini sized is just perfect for kids to put on their lap while traveling in a car or on a plane. A perfect alternative then to have them watching a movie or playing a game the whole trip on a portable device.

My favorite thing about this cool little portable Lego table is that it wraps on the mess for me. They play and build their Lego contraptions right on top of the map then Collapse the bag into a carrying pack once they are done.

The Lay-n-Go is made out of durable material and can be easily washed, which is a must when using it to travel.

It is very simple to make a portable wooden lego table. All you need is a wooden serving tray with or without legs and a lego base plate or building plate.

You can either cut your lego base plate to fit or buy one that fits your serving tray. If the lego base fits well in the serving tray you can go without gluing so you can save you tray for future uses or to keep it secure you can glue it down.

To brighten up your new portable lego table you can paint or stain the wood to taste. My favorite is letting a child personalizing their own lego tray but painting a picture on the back. Then when the lego table is not in use it can be set up on display to show off their art work.
