Ground beef is one of the cheapest meats to buy at the grocery store, so like most families on a budget ground beef is on our dinner table often. The plain boring recipes that is typically cheap to make just does not go well night after night.
So with a little time and patience with the family I am trying to find alternative cheap and easy ground beef recipes that will mix up our meal plan but not break the budget. When looking for recipes I try to find meals to make that are healthy, easy to make and cost less then seven dollars to make for a family of five.

I make the red sauce thick and serve it with lots of noodles. If they want seconds they can always have a serving of noodles and red sauce.

Mexican food can be great to mix up the meal plan on a tight budget. By adding a little Mexican flair to any meal, you can get a fun meal the whole family will crowd the table for.

When making meat dishes I sometimes make a little extra to go into the next days meal or we may have a few extra hamburgers left from a Sunday's dinner. I take the extra meat and create cheap and delicious meal.
When I have dry beans on hand and have time for them to soak I make a extra large pot of chili. Chili is great on a cold days and can be frozen for latter. I freeze the extra to make a good potato topping or hot dog topping later.
