When one of my sons started to show a great interest in science we started to do more science experiments as a family. Not knowing where to start, we found kids science experiment kits to be the best option. While there was a few kits we tried that we would recommend there are several we loved and will probably do again when my youngest get a little older.

The Best science experiment kits for kids are not drawn in to make them learn every thing about science, but they are there to make kids more interested in science. They take a cool subject that a kid is interested in a let them learn more about the science in the subject.

We have done many science experiments as a family. One of the first ones that I remember was building a small rocket and having them try different ways to make the rocket go higher. This project has been completed for years and they still talk about it.

I have always been in to using solar energy and other alternative energy. Doing little experiments like these are away of teaching my kids about alternative power, It makes it fun for them and they have a more understanding of how electricity and power work to make things work. I also try to talk to them about reasons why alternative energy is important and will become more and more important in time.

My boys just love robots and to build them their self is just a dream come true to them. This kit is a tad more pricey then I usually use but because of the sure size of the kit it can be used over and over again. So in my book it is money well spent.

What kids do not like to play with light sticks. My kids are always playing with the light swords in the toy aisles when we go to the store, so I think this experiment will really get there minds turning.

This is the first chemistry kit my boys got. My son that is interested most in science got it for his birthday along with a micro scope. He spent the next several days doing little experiments the kit suggested. It was a blast, his favorite was creating volcanic irruption and making jiggly wiggles.

For ten dollars you can not go wrong. These little science experiment kits are great fun for the family and can be bought and saved for the right time. I always put a few away to save away until there is a rainy day or the if the boys seem bored. I also like to use them as treats for doing something awesome like getting straight A's on a report card or accomplishing a major goal.

Cheap science experiments are also fun to do during sleepovers or when their is a family gathering. Everyone gets involved and everyone has fun.

Sure science kits are fun and easy to use for kids looking to experiment with science but you do not have to buy a kit to have fun. There are many science experiments that can be done at home without buying anything extra.

My kids has gotten many science kits and have had lots of fun with them, but once the kits are done they do come away with skills and knowledge of those type of experiments. So once you start having done a few kits do not be surprised to see you kids looking around the kitchen or home for things to make their own experiment work.
