Astronaut Toys for Boys

Austronaut and Space Shuttle Toys For Boys

My boys all went through a stage as they was younger that they was fascinated about becoming an Astronaut and just loved playing with rocket ships and space shuttles. My biggest problem when finding a toy rocket ship is that some had so many small parts and others was hard to play with. My boys wanted to play with Astronaut figurines in and out of the shuttle not just around the space shuttle or space shuttle.

Besides buying a few Astronaut toys I also let them use their imagination and use things around the house to make their own Astronaut and space rocket toys. Their favorite was building a rocket ship out of cardboard.

Rocket Ship Play Set - Astronaut Toys for Boys

This toy spaceship is just right for small hands and big enough for older space explorers as well. The open sides make this space shuttle easy for kids to play with the Astronaut toys in and out of the space shuttle.

-- it's a multilevel rocket ship with rooms, an elevator, stairs, doors, etc. -- lots of little pieces and parts to add/remove/move around the set -- large enough for them to mix in their matchbox cars, lego characters etc for even more fun -- well made, with lots of detail in the painting and decal work. Lots to explore.

Playing Astronaut sure is easeir with a helmet. Loved this helmet because it was not the typical plastic helmet that gets cracked within a few minutes. The soft helmet is great for toddlers as well as older kids. If it get dirty, No Problem. Just throw it in the wash.

Astronaut Play Tents For Space Loving Boys

This would make one cool space shuttle for a boys room. We made a spaceshuttle out of cardboard and magic markers but it only lasted a few months. This tent looks like it would last a lot longer, plus you could easily put it away for a while if the space was needed.

My Favorite Space Shuttle Toys For Boys

Toy space shuttles are a great way to spark imaginative play of what is in space. A young child may do best with a soft or plastic space shuttle. While an older kid may have a blast making a space shuttle from Legos.

Boys Lego Space and Austronaut Lego Sets

Legos are great for building hand eye coordination and imaginative thinking. Plus most boys love legos just as much as they love thinking about flying to space in a Rocket Ship.

Some of the Lego space kits are huge and take a lot of energy and time to put together. Some of the smaller kits of space vehicles and smaller rockets are easier for beginners. Or you could just get a big Lego Space Ship Kit and do it as a family.

Not many spaceship toys was very accurate. Most had a more cartoonist feel. Which was fine in many cases but if your getting a toy for it to be more educational, a realistic figure toy set is probably a better option. I really liked the Astronauts and the flag in the play set.

You do not have to spend a lot of money on new toys to have a room full of astronaut toys and rocket ships to inspire a child's mind.

Reading About Astronauts

My son was not much of a reader until we sparked his interest in reading about things he loves such as Astronauts.

To start we avoided buying books, it worked best to search with him on the internet to find information about NASA and other well known Astronauts.

We found that NASA.gov was very helpful and had a lot of things for kids to do on their website.

It was also interesting for a child to learn about Animal Astronauts.

This was one of my boys' favorite books to read about space and astronauts. They liked it because after a few times reading it they felt like they really new a lot of about space. It was simple to read and easy for beginner readers.
